THE FIRST SESSION OF RWANDA ANGOLA JOINT PERMANENT COMMISSION ON COOPERATION HELD IN KIGALI.
Minister Vincent Biruta and Hon. Ambassador Tete Antonio, Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Angola leads the respective delegations in the first session of Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC) between the two countries that took place from 13 to 15 April 2022.
During this JPCC, Rwanda and Angola, signed the following MoUs / Agreements:
- Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement
- Agreement in Extradition
- Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance
- Agreement on Transfer of Convicted Persons
- MoU on cooperation in the field of Agriculture and Livestock Development
- MoU on Local Administration
- MoU on cooperation in the field of Health
- MoU on Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas
- MoU between National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP) and Rwanda Management Institute (RMI).
Further the Commission explored new areas of cooperation including Infrastructure, Tourism, Finance, Education and Vocational Training, Defence and Security, among others.
The Commission agreed that Angola would host the Second Session of the Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation in 2024 at a date and venue to be mutually agreed upon by both parties.
