Ms. Teta Gisa
Director General, Africa
Ms. Teta Gisa is the Director General of the Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, a role she has held since February 2024. Prior to this, she served as the Director of African Union Affairs from 2022 to 2024, following her tenure as Senior Officer in the same department.
Ms. Gisa holds an Executive Master in Global Public Diplomacy and Sustainable Development from the LUISS School of Governance in Italy, an M.A. in International Public Relations & Global Communications Management from Cardiff University in the UK, and a B.A. in Political Science from Kent State University, USA. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling and exploring new cultures. She is fluent in English and Kinyarwanda, with proficiency in French.
